Cupcakes are so urban-chic these days. They are fresh. They are easy. They take you back to third grade. And well, they are not going anywhere ..at least for awhile.
Everyone has taken the cupcake-dog-and-pony-show on the road. You can find everything from pet portrait cupcakes to gourmet five layered Chinese cupcakes. But here at No Fuss Fabulous, I try to keep things simple for my sanity. Don’t get me wrong. I love a fabulously decorated cupcake. (Did you not see my Gobble em’ up! Thanksgiving Turkey Cupcakes?!?!) BUT as much as I look up to to all the fabulous women who make fondant flowers that look like real petunias but even better – I am not so talented or patient and I’ve got a life to run. That is why I am in LOVE with edible flowers. You get all the pow without all the work. Flower power, baby. (Yes, you read that right. I wrote, “Flower power, baby.” Annie is going to die. Oh well. Back to the edible flower power cupcakes.) Just frost and place a flower on top. Voila! You are done. You are fresh. You are fabulous. You are so urban-chic.
