Homemade Ice Cream Treats Revisited

Is it hot in here? Or is it just me. Unless you are living in Antarctica (and if you are – welcome), the heat of summer has hit you. With 106 degree weather down here in the heartland, I am feeling the heat. I went to the park with the kids and no one was there, because every other mom in the world was smarter than to risk their children getting heat stroke. (Of course, I quickly packed my kids back up in the car, slathered SPF on them and resumed looking like I knew what I was doing.)

So if your kids are as bored as umm… “my neighbor’s kids” – you may want to bring the fun indoors for a little while to make some sweet treats. You could even make it into a neighborhood event with the free adorable Ice Cream Social invitations Annie made in May. Trust me. Your neighbor and “your neighbor’s kids” will thank you!
