R.I.P. Gourmet Graveyard Cupcakes

NoFussFabulousTombstoneCupcakesa

Halloween is just around the corner and I cannot be more excited!!! I love the prequel to the holiday season. This year I am throwing around the idea of hosting a “Ghoul-friends” luncheon complete with gourmet desserts and tiny sandwiches. We all need a few more girl luncheons  in our lives. Last week, I made some cupcakes and played around with different decorating ideas. I want the affair to be Halloween fun, but with a more grown-up feel. Here’s what I came up with…and of course they are easy. NoFussFabulousTombstoneCupcakes

What you need:

Cupcakes (preferably really really good ones. (Check out Barefoot Contessa’s Cupcake & Frosting Mixes if you prefer a quick box!)

Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies –  I don’t know a woman who doesn’t loves these, especially the mint ones.

A small stencil (This is completely optional.  Just for those perfectionists out there.)

Gourmet Writer

What I did:

Placed the Milano cookie inside my cupcake.

Using a stencil and a Gourmet Writer (available here at Sugarcraft.com) I wrote R.I.P. onto my Milano cookie.

Basked in fabulousness and kept asking my husband to tell me how cute these cupcakes and I were!

What are your fabulous cupcake ideas for Halloween?

Blog to you soon,
