I insist on having a theme song at all times. The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes is my current theme. I listen to it every morning.
My postman is fantastic. I can set my watch by that little man. People who are superior at their job – two thumbs way up.
There was this woman in my old neighborhood who I would see walking almost everyday for the seven years I lived there. Her weight never changed from the first day I saw her to the last day I left, but she walked every day despite rain, heat, or snow. I don’t know her name. But her persistence was inspiring. I wonder how many people have inspired others and have no idea. It reminds me that our everyday actions have unknown ripple effects.
It’s seriously embarrassing how much I miss shopping in Dallas. I can hardly talk about it.
I now live in Eagle, Idaho. After almost six months of living here, last week I found a decent mall a million minutes away from my home. I almost started crying. I can’t tell you how embarrassed I am writing that. I feel so shallow, but it’s true.
I have this weird thing with moms who eat off their child’s plate. I can’t approve. I am so sorry if this offends you.
Once in a while when I’m craving a treat, I trick the kids into saying they want one – just so I can justify it.
Mr. Lewis: “Oh, you made raspberry gelato.”
Me: “The kiddos wanted some sooo bad. I just finally gave in.” (Best said with a bit of exasperation.)
How is that any different than eating off your child’s plate?
Sometimes when the kids fall asleep in the car, I still keep the radio going pretty loud. I just need the music sometimes.
Just finished The Hunger Games trilogy. Peeta, Gale, Katniss…what can I say?
Also just finished Shades of Grey Trilogy. Christian Grey? Enough said.
I have the biggest crush on 50 cent. Did you see him being interviewed by Oprah? He was adorable.
I am worried about Taylor Swift dating a Kennedy. That being said, if they become engaged, I would kill to do their wedding invitations.
