Double

Everyone thought I was crazy to adopt two little ones two months apart.
And maybe, I was.
But boy, I wouldn’t change a thing.
This little duo is something else.
They finish each others’ sentences
…and each others’ food.
If I’m disciplining one, often the other will be furious with me.
They have each others’ back.
But don’t let these little angel faces fool you.
They are also known as “The Twin Tornadoes.”
Just in the past month they have…
Distributed Craisins all over their playroom (Costco sized bag).
Stuffed our water filter full of bread and apples.
Transferred 5 gallons of water from the bathroom sink to Ethan’s bed.
Ripped almost all the wallpaper off the playroom walls.
Colored the suede ottoman again.
And yet, as much trouble as they are together.
They are double that amount in joy.
They will hug my legs together and say,
We love you so so so so so much, Mommy!
…just for making them peanut butter sandwiches.

And after every meal, they chant,
This was delicious, Mommy!
…even if it was just peanut butter sandwiches.

And when they say their prayers at night,
Thank you for Mommy.”
is often said more than once.

I laugh twice as hard with them.
I have double the amount of happiness than I have ever had.
They bring two times the fun to every day.

Yes, everyone thought I was crazy.
And maybe, I was.
But I am crazy in love with these two.

Blog to you soon,

P.S. More of my little Boston to come!
