My little baby is turning into a little boy. The other day we went and got his hair all cut off. It looks totally cute, but I cried quickly thereafter. He just looks like a little boy now. He is slowly turning into a toddler. He walks everywhere he goes and loves to be independent. I am starting to understand when people say, “I wish they could just stay little.”
On the opposite end, I have little V who is so small, seemingly fragile, and filled with vitality. I never thought that I would LOVE having a newborn, but I LOVE having a newborn. There is just something so fun and special about it. I can’t even describe the feeling. Princess V already knows that I am her mommy. She was a Daddy’s girl for the first few weeks, but then L left on a business trip and now she prefers me! 🙂 Much to my happiness! We have so much fun together.
Today we are going to the park with my friend Stephanie and her one year old daughter. It is so much fun to watch the two toddlers play together. They have their own imaginary world.
On a separate note, I went ahead and bought a twelve foot artificial Christmas tree for our living room. L just about died. He is dreading putting it up! But I couldn’t be more thrilled! I think it will be the center of many fabulous Christmases. Last year was such a difficult Holiday; this year I just want to celebrate my family in a big way! 🙂
