I left my computer a few hours ago, to find two shiny toddlers. They had been so quiet and so good. And then I looked closer. They were a little too shiny…and then I saw globs of shiny on their clothes and more globs of shiny coming out of their hair. Have you ever tried chasing two toddlers around the house who are covered head to toe in thick Vaseline? Well, they are not only shiny. They are slippery. You can’t really pick them up because they literally slip through your fingers. It may take you close to an hour and a large towel to finally be able to get them into a bathtub. Which poses another question, have you ever tried to clean globs of Vaseline off of skin? I mean the stuff is a serious moisturizer. Once it is on the skin, it really doesn’t want to leave. And I won’t even get into taking Vaseline out of a headful of dark beautiful curls. Rinse and repeat have a whole new meaning now. Needless to say, I won’t need to apply moisturizer to the kids tonight. To be honest, I haven’t had so much fun. The kids and I couldn’t stop laughing. I know I shouldn’t reinforce negative behavior, but it was just so funny. I wish I wasn’t covered in Vaseline so I could have taken a picture. Now if I can only figure out how to get Vaseline off of carpet. Maybe I’ll wait for my other half to figure out that one… yes, I think that is the thing to do.
Blog to you soon,
