Super Easy Cupcake Toppers to Shower with Love!

This afternoon (by some miracle no doubt) my house will be clean, my kids dressed and there will be beautiful treats awaiting guests. I am throwing a baby shower for a dear friend who happens to be one of my husband’s coworkers as well. Below are the invitations I made for the event. My theme (capitalizing on the Valentine retail right now) is Shower With Love.

I really wanted some sparkly heart cupcake toppers to go with the theme, but I didn’t have the time to pull out the embossing glitter and start from scratch – so I came up with this easy alternative. It’s so easy that you probably are thinking – why did she do a post on that?! Anyone can do that. But I guess that is the point! Here are the easiest heart cupcake toppers anyone can do!

P.S. I’ll post the rest of my Shower With Love this week!

Step One. Purchase two packages of foam stickers of your choice. I purchased these at Michaels for 97 cents. You could use normal stickers if you would like, but the foam stickers hide the toothpick perfectly and I think they look much more store bought and less preschool craft. Yes, I recommend the foamies.

Step Two. Get out your toothpicks, Ladies!  I apparently prefer Diamond Toothpicks.

Step Three. Place the toothpick in the center of the foam sticker.IMG_8401

Step Four. Repeat with other side lining up foam stickers perfectly. Smoosh sides together. I hope smoosh is a real word.  Okay, I just did spell check and it’s not.  Neither is foamies.IMG_8402

Step Five. Place cupcake topper on cupcake.

I’ll post the rest of the shower this week! Have a love-filled day!
