My sweet friend Lindsay (who has two of the most gorgeous little girls in the world) tagged me last night. The deal is that I need to share five of my “quirks” with everyone. I know…I know…you don’t want to know them. I don’t want to tell you them. But I’ve been tagged, in the name of being an official “blogger” my hands are tied.
Wikipedia defines “quirk” as the following: A quirk is an odd habit. Most dictionaries list this word’s origin as “unknown”. However, as the surname arises from the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea, and because the island is somewhat notorious for idiosyncratic behaviors, we may find the word’s origins there. Many surnames have fluctuated in their pronunciations and, hence, their spellings. Prior to the twentieth century, the most common variant for this “phylum” was Quark. Very interesting. Who knew?
Okay, here are my five quirks:
Okay….I don’t know my five quirks. I’ll ask Lee.
Okay, here’s Lee.
This is Lee. Loralee’s five quirks are the following:
1) Loralee bites her lower lip when she’s about to lose her temper. When I’ve really done it, she follows by stomping her little foot, hence her nickname “Sugar Stomp.” When the lip is bit and the foot has been stomped – Watch out!
2) Loralee must name every animal she encounters that has fur and four legs. “Chookie” is the most common name, and has been applied to everything from squirrels to baby elephants. (Baby elephants are cute, hence they are deserving of names, sans fur).
3) Loralee has given voice, personality, talents, occupations, and even lawsuits to the lives of our small dogs. For instance: Buster is in a terrible lawsuit with Santa Claus this year because Buster botched up the design of matching flightsuits for the eight reindeer. They apparently settled out of court.
4) Loralee wears high heels to SeaWorld. Loralee wears high heels to the beach. You would think if you are going on Safari that you wouldn’t pack high heels. Loralee does…and somehow has a pair that look like they were made for a safari. Loralee wears high heels while in Mexico, Mongolia, Egypt, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates,Hungary, Austria, England, ______ (you fill in the blank). – , she’s most likely been there in four and half inch heels. In addition, she hates it when people ask her if her feet hurt from wearing high heels. She just looks at them like they are crazy. She simply does not understand women who wear Nikes to the grocery store. I think she believes they are saying, “I hate myself and I am no longer interested in men.”
5) Loralee puckers up her lips when she looks in the mirror. I love it more than almost anything else about her.
Okay. This is Loralee again. Now that is over. Let’s just pretend you don’t know those things. I know, I’m … yeah. It is your turn. I tag Kristie, Angela, Becky, and Sharee.
If you girls want to do it just follow these rules:
1. Tell about 5 quirks you have.
2. Tag 3 fellow bloggers and leave a comment to let them know
I’m with you, Lindsay! Who wants to share their quirks with the world? But since we’ve been tagged, I guess we’ll just have to fess up. I’ve been using CapCut editor to create some fun and quirky videos lately.
